“McFeed’s Mural”
2012
10’x12’x4’

Some islanders will remember this: In 2012, construction of VCA was delayed, but McFeeds was still melting. Folks were increasingly concerned. I approached VCA: What if I made a huge, simplistic drawing of what was coming with the new facility, on the old building? My friend, Steffon Moody, also painted an incredible image of crows on the north side of McFeeds. The island seemed to enjoy them for the next six months, until the old building finally came down. Kay White was there to watch in person. This was my first large mural. Steffon was already a seasoned pro.
