“Speedster Silkscreen” Silkscreen Print
1982
13” x 21” (Framed 17.5” x 25”)
Silkscreen printing was a high school revelation for me. Every print design would start as a detailed drawing, which is at the heart of everything I do. Breaking the image into a complicated series of transparent, overlaying color and combinations was a puzzle that suited me. Then came the moment when you pull a squeegee and instantly create large swaths of color! Then another! So different than slowly making zillions of little pencil lines, and instead of one final image, you’d have many to share.
